A family retreat that has doubled in size from 3,000 sq ft to 6,000.  The new space was designed for energy efficiency with a 6kw solar panel array to be installed on the roof, blown in cellulose insulation in the ceiling for an upgraded R value, and the house will be scheduled for a blower door test at the end of construction.  The vaulted ceiling in the family / living areas show off the beetle kill boards, that add the  “mountain cabin” feel to the residence.
