When Carol & I bought our block of land in Breckenridge, there were a number of difficulties we faced in the construction of our planned full log home.
The building envelope was complicated , there were a number of mature trees on the site, there was a natural waterway through the building site, and as we were residing in Australia, and would have limited opportunities to visit during the construction, it was very important to us to try and find an architect who had the skills and experience to firstly design a home that we liked, was experienced in full log construction, could negotiate with the planning authorities to obtain all the necessary building approvals, and supervise the construction.
To select the architect, we drove around Breckenridge and looked for full log homes that we liked, and then knocked on doors to ask for references.
The owner of one particularly beautiful log home that we liked gave Arapahoe Architects an absolutely wonderful reference and we contacted them to design and supervise the building of our home.
We loved the design, and during this design process, Bobby Craig was very easy to deal with and very accommodating with any suggestions that we made. The approvals were obtained without delays, the builder was selected, and our home was completed on time and on budget with only two visits from us to check progress.
We loved the finished home, and 12 years on, it has aged beautifully, with absolutely no problems.
We would have no hesitation at all in highly recommending Arapahoe Architects for any similar project.
