Remodel in Historic District
Location: Breckenridge
Design Features: Roof balcony with great views
This cozy 2056 square ft. 4 bedroom, 4-bath home with single car garage is a remodel located in Breckenridge’s Historic District. Originally built in 1979, it was first remodeled in 1989. Our goal for this project was to modernize the home while keeping the intrinsic charm. For this remodel, we kept the original floor plan, while completely gutting the house down to the studs.
The newly redesigned kitchen is a focal point of this home. Cherry stained wood floors and cabinets, satin nickel pulls, stainless appliances and frosted glass front cabinets contrast beautifully with the creamy granite and light tile backsplash adding sparkle with a modern feel. The natural stone tile around the gas fireplace insert saves space and is another sleek element in this newly redesigned space. We added a brand new upper deck with nice views creating a private sanctuary right on the upper floors of the home. New windows throughout with custom grilles are highly energy efficient and allow the home to take advantage of natural light from dawn to dusk. The home’s fresh exterior finished with corrugated metal and wood blend beautifully with the neighborhood giving it a mountain modern feel right in the heart of town.
