Location: Breckenridge, CO
Design Features: Asymmetrical roofline
This new Highland Meadows home is located in a relatively new subdivision in the heart of Summit County. With sweeping valley views and over 90 acres of HOA-owned open space, the subdivision is accessible to every kind of recreation a mountain homeowner could desire!
The architectural standards for this subdivision require the design to emulate the region’s rich mining and ranching history. Since this home is built on an upslope lot, we created an asymmetrical roofline to capture the bucolic essence of the surrounding mountains. To further enhance the exterior, we used a mix of stone, heavy timbers and steel to create a distinguished mountain modern exterior while keeping the community design guidelines intact.
The interior of this home is just as stunning, featuring distressed wood floors set against light colored walls, wooden beams and metal fixtures that lend a serene, homey feel, while large glass windows throughout the home capture sunlight and the extraordinary views of the Ten Mile Range and Peak 4.
