This Solar Strawbale House is particularly unique as it fuses timber frame construction with both active and passive solar design. By orienting the main living space toward the south, we were able to maximize the passive solar and create an efficient building envelope.

The goal here was to create an inviting and warm living space while effectively creating a net zero energy residence.

This fusion design is especially desirable as it can be used on a variety of different building lots.
