This tired old Breckenridge residence was begging for a total remodel. It was built in the early 70’s and had received many additions over the years. After reinforcing the foundation and the floor framing, our attention was focused on updating the interior.
Floor to ceiling steel windows and doors were added to maximize natural light and frame the mountain vistas and forest views. Interior walls were removed to create a large open living space. A clean contemporary kitchen was paired with natural wood ceilings and floors for a warm comfortable feel.

Historic renovation and new residential buildings in Breckenridge.
Locally known as the home of Judge Marshall Silverthorn, a prominent businessman of the 1850’s. An entrepreneur that dabbled as a storekeeper, postmaster, Justice of the Peace, blacksmith, landlord as well as owning a small mining company. Later the family added an ‘e’ at the end of their surname, as was fashionable for the time. The Town of Silverthorne was incorporated as a town in 1967 using the Judge’s name.
The original home was moved to add a concrete foundation and full basement. The historic barn was renovated as a small apartment. Two new buildings, a duplex and a single family residence, were designed and built on the same lot to complete the project.

This week we wanted to focus on one of our finished products. We are showcasing Unit 1A at The Estates at the Alders. The Estates at the Alders are in a great location, less than 5 minutes east of Keystone Resort. The location is secluded and quiet, in a very welcoming mountain environment.
This unit is already owned but has not been moved into yet. It is currently staged with furniture to show an example of how the spaces would feel in the rest of the units at the Alders. It has two bedrooms/one bathroom on the lower floor adjacent to a family room with a wet bar. The upper floor features the master suite, kitchen, living room, dining room, and a powder room. This house features tall vaulted ceilings, beautiful hardwood and tile floors, granite counter tops, and a stone fireplace in the main living space upstairs. The master suite features vaulted ceilings, a large walk-in closet, and a nice master bath with custom built-in shower.
These beautiful finishes, great spaces, and proximity to Keystone make The Estates at the Alders very desirable units to own, but there are still a few available! Act fast!
