Update: Progress on our long term project – Avalanche House

September 27, 2012 by Arapahoe Architects

The vision for this house is completely off-the-grid, meaning it will have to be self sufficient. It started years ago and have finally come to the stage of having laser cut timbers delivered to the site.  A crane was hauled up the mountain to set them in place.  The utility shed is a little farther along.  This house is located in an avalanche zone and must withstand the same! Watch for more progress next year.
